Worship: Sundays at 8:45am and 11am

Opportunities offered in the Community of Gifts Survey are listed below. The Leader is responsible for the group. The Contact is not responsible for the group, but can answer questions. Any additional questions can be answered by the church office.

Altar Guild: Responsible for the altar area. Setting, refreshing and cleaning up the altar after communion. Members of this ministry work in monthly teams. Leader: Donna Picciano

Communion Assistant: Assist the Pastors in distributing communion. Leaders: 9:00 Ken Weisensale, 11:00 Andi Webber

Lector: Reads the lessons on Sunday. Contact: Ken Weisensale

Liturgist (9AM)/Worship Assistant (11AM): Reads the prayers on Sundays. Contact: Ken Weisensale

Music: Sing and/or play music on Sundays.  Leaders: 9:00 Pat Guth,  11:00 Bill Lafty

Praying for Pastors:  This group prays on Sundays before the 9:00 service specifically for the Pastors. Leaders: Todd & Carol Stranahan

Prayer Chain This is an email list of people who need prayers. Leader: Needed

Ushers: Hand out bulletins, collect offering, tidy up after worship.  Leaders: 9:00 Bob Loven, 11:00 – Karen Hoch & John Tidd

Projectionist: Shows the slides at 11:00

Bible Study/Adult Education: Participate in or lead a Bible study. Topics and leaders vary. Leader: Susan McDonnell

Teen Education/Confirmation: Help with 7th & 8th grade Confirmation students. Leaders: The Pastors

Children’s Education/Sunday School: Teach or assist working in teams. Ages pre-school – 6th grade. Sunday school is held 10:00 – 10:45 on Sunday mornings.

Cooking & Serving Food: Throughout the year there are times food is needed (social events, funerals, etc.). Leader: Amy Carr

Aid for Friends: 1st Monday of the month folks gather to prepare and package food for shut-ins. Leader: Kurt Nelson

Celebration of Life: Prepares and serves meals after a funeral.

Bucks County Interfaith Housing: On the morning of the 3rd Saturday of odd number months folks gather to rehab (paint, clean, demo, repair, etc.) houses in Lower Bucks County for the less fortunate. Leader: Susan McDonnell

Knit & Crochet: Folks gather in a group or work at home to knit/crochet items for others (preemie hats, chemo hats, adult afghans, prayer shawls, etc.) Leader: Cindy Sundstrom

Blood Drive: Several times a year the Red Cross conducts a blood drive. Leader: Nancy Seuffert, Kathy Bauer

Back to School Collection: Back to school supplies are collected for needy children in local schools. Leaders: Andi & Nate Webber

St. Nicholas Gift Donations: Christmas presents are collected for and distributed to local charities. Leaders: Gloria Nelson, Janet Nordberg

Children’s ActivitiesHelp plan and carry out children activities for various social events. Contact: Sandy Anthony

Youth Group: Help plan and carry out activities/trips for children ages 7th – 12th grade, or start a group for younger children. Contact: Pr. Marissa.

ASP Chaperone: For one week each summer youth and adults participate in a mission trip through Appalachia Service Project where they rebuild/remodel homes. No experience necessary. Leader: Stacey Sottung.

Vacation Bible School: VBS provides Christian education 5 mornings a week for one week in the summer. More details under About UsEducation. Contact: Sandy Anthony.

Children’s Choir: Direct or help with a choir for children: Contact: Pat Guth

Revelations Youth Band: Direct or help with a band for children. Leader: Needed

Church Leadership/Council: Leads the direction of the church. Contact: Susan McDonnell

Nominating Committee: Solicits candidates to run for council. Contact: Susan McDonnell

Stewardship: Encouraging the congregation to give financially to the church. Leader: Needed

New Members: Encourage people to join, be a contact person for new members. Leader: Needed

Property: Care and maintenance of the building and grounds. Leader: Dan Carr

Worship & Music: Responsible for content of services. Leader: John Tidd

Hospitality: Responsible for welcoming visitors on Sunday mornings. Leader: Needed

Fellowship: Plans social activities for the congregation. Leader: Amy Carr

Staff Support: Provides support and feedback to church staff. Liaison between congregation and staff. Leader: Earl Monk

Pet: Involved in all aspects of caring for pets, supports shelters, education, pet illness and loss. Leader: Diana Pazicky

Volunteers: Responsible for actively engaging members into ministries within the church. Leader: Sandy Anthony

Clerical/AdministrativeSupport office staff with office jobs. Leader: Kay Rozolis

Computer/InternetInput data, troubleshoot problems, etc. Contact: Ken Weisensale

FinanceResponsible for the financial wellbeing of the church. Leader: Barbara Senft

Counting MoneyCounting the weekly offering. Leader: Janet Nordberg

Yearly Financial AuditAuditing the financial records of the church: Contact: Steve Rathjen

Payroll: Issuing payroll checks for staff Leader: Joyce Senss

PhotographyTaking pictures at church events. Leader varies. Contact: Sandy Anthony

FundraisingHelp raise funds for special events. Leader varies. Contact: Sandy Anthony

Marketing/Advertising: Getting the word out about God’s Love. May include specific events or inviting people to come to worship. Leader varies. Contact: Sandy Anthony

Writing/TelephoningFor a variety of purposes such as to members, visitors, business, etc. Leader varies. Contact: Sandy Anthony

Updating Church DirectoryThe church directory is updated annually. Contact: Ken Weisensale

Men’s Breakfast & Service Projects:  Men meet monthly for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Several times per year they do a service project such as furniture collection or clothing drive. Leader: John Connors

Senior Activities: Once a month seniors gather for lunch. Senior Saints Luncheon (Contact: Amy Carr) is held at church and Out to Lunch Bunch (Contact: Ruth Tueting) meets at restaurants. You do not need to be a senior to attend.

Women’s Dine OutThis group goes to a different restaurant each month. Leader: Sarah Wheeler-Chin

Women’s Book ClubA book is chosen, read and then discussed. Leader: Sharon Sottung.

YogaOn Wednesday evenings Yoga lessons are offered for mind, body and spirit. All abilities and levels are welcome. Leader: Needed. This group is not currently offering yoga – please let us know if you are interested!

Theater MinistryEach year a musical play is presented. There are many opportunities to participate for youth and adults: actors, stage crew, music, props, etc. Leader: Pat Guth

Gardening/Grass CuttingCaring for the grass and gardens: Leader: Dan Carr

Building/Grounds/HandymanCaring for the property, inside and out. All skill levels needed. Leader: Dan Carr

Café/BaristaGreeting people and serving coffee/tea/bagels in the café on Sunday moorings. Leader: Kathy MacDonald

Fall Treasure SaleEach October a huge indoor flea market/yard sale is held. In addition to selling that day there is a lot of prep work beforehand. Leader: Needed

Audio/Visual Tech Team: Enhance worship through technology (e.g. show videos, stream service, etc.) Contact: Ken Weisensale

Caring & Compassion/Steven’s MinistryCaring for those who are sick or grieving. Contact: Sandy Anthony

Community Service/OutreachHelping people who are less fortunate. Contact: Sandy Anthony

Social Justice: Working toward social equality for all. Contact: Pastor Marissa

Baptismal Roll: Sending a newsletter, several times per year for the 1st 3 years, after a child is baptized. Contact: Janet Nordberg

Mentoring/ShepherdingProvide support for a person/family for a specific period of time. Invite them to activities, answer their questions, call if they’ve been in worship, etc. Contact: Sandy Anthony

Visioning TeamWhen a need is determined, people who can see what steps need to be taken to make it a reality. Contact: Sandy Anthony

Visiting OthersProvide visits to shut-ins, hospitalized, nursing homes, prospective members, etc. Contact: Kay Rozolis

AthleticsStart or play for a team. Any sport welcome. Contact: Sandy Anthony

ArtUse your art ability around the church or start a group and teach others. Contact: Sandy Anthony

DancingUse your dancing ability at church or start a group and teach others. Contact: Sandy Anthony

Social Groups for Young Families Start or participate in a group geared to the needs of young families. Contact: Sandy Anthony

Women’s MinistryStart or participate in activities to meet the needs of women. Contact: Sharon Sottung & Pr. Marissa

Couple’s Ministry/Retreat:  Start or participate in a social group that meets the needs of couples. Contact: Sandy Anthony

Pick-up Choir: People to sing in the choir/band on an occasional basis ex: holidays, summer, special events or substitute. Leaders: Pat Guth (9 AM), Bill Lafty (11 AM)

Adult ASP Trip: Mission trip over a long weekend to rehab homes for Appalachia Service Project. No skills needed.  Leader: Stacey Sottung

Helping Hands Ministry:  Helping people/seniors in our congregation with things they can no longer do (e.g. shopping, transportation, yard/house work, meals) or provide a visit or a phone call. Contact: Kay Rozolis
