and friends in their growth in Christian discipleship through Bible Studies, adult
discussion groups, small group coordination and seminars. Community Outreach: Builds sensitivity to the brokenness and
pain found in the world around us and seeks to connect members with direct and
hands-on opportunities to serve in the spirit of Christ. Confirmation (7th – 9th): Seeks to maintain the highest
standards of education for youth in 7th-9th grades who are preparing for their
Affirmation of Faith; involves parents, pastors and the youth themselves in a
meaningful examination of the Christian faith. Education (Pre-K – 6th): Seeks to provide optimal
educational opportunities for children 3-years of age through 6th grade;
selects curriculum and recruits teachers and leaders to encourage children to
grow in their discipleship. Evangelism: Seeks to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to
all, by reaching out to the unchurched, marketing to all segments of our
society and assisting our members in telling their own Jesus-faith story. Global Missions: Seeks to broaden the perspective of mission
in the world through direct involvement with mission causes as chosen by the
congregation. Health: Seeks to educate and advocate for holistic health
for members of the church and greater community; gives priority to the weak and
vulnerable. Hospitality: Works to build a spirit of warmth and welcome
for members and visitors; organizes various social events to encourage a spirit
of community; intentionally seeks hospitality and openness at any time that the
church doors are open. Men’s Ministry: Undertakes various outreach and community
service efforts with the once-a-month Saturday morning men’s breakfast as the
anchor meeting time. New Members: Seeks ways to facilitate the involvement and
integration of all members new to our fellowship as well as those who have
become uninvolved. Property: Takes responsibility for the maintenance and
upkeep of our entire physical plant and grounds. Staff Support: Supports all non-clergy staff by monitoring
job satisfaction and performance, coordinating interviews for new staff
positions, and exploring new staffing arrangements in order to better serve the
mission of the church. Stewardship: Challenges members to live out their Christian
calling in the world through the sharing of their time, talents, and financial
resources. Women’s Ministry: Advocates for and supports women in the
world as they seek to live out their God given calling; explores the needs of
women through special events and workshops in areas such as health and
well-being, careers and parenting. Worship & Music: Seeks to guide the planning of all
worship services to engender quality, cordiality, and efficient use of time,
resources, and personnel; ensures that the Word of God is preached and the
Sacraments are rightly administered. Youth Ministry: Seeks to build patience, tolerance and
acceptance through teaching and modeling discipleship among the children and
youth of God’s Love and the community.
