For one week during the summer August 1st-5th, 2011. Our entire church is transformed into PandaMania: Where God is Wild about You! From 9:00 am to noon each day, children ages 4 to those entering 5th grade participate in Bible lessons, story-telling, crafts, singing, and snack. The program, which is staffed by adults and teens from our congregation is open to the local community as well as members of God’s Love.
Each year the program has a specific theme, this years theme is PandaMania. The entire church is decorated with this theme to transport the children to a different place and time. Past themes include High Seas Adventure (buccaneers), Crocodile Dock (swamp) and Ranch Round Up (wild wst.)
Please let Nancy Maguire know if you have:

Our confirmation program begins in 7th grade and runs through the fall of 9th grade. Class meets on Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 during the school year. The lessons are based on the Here We Stand program from Augsburg Fortress. Classes consist of large group lessons followed by smaller group break-out sessions where discussion and idea-sharing is highly encouraged. Our confirmation teachers are joined by several adult mentors. The mentors facilitate the break-out sessions, and assist our confirmation students during this transitional period. The relationships between student and mentor are deep and long-lasting.
The 2-year program also includes a variety of service projects and retreat experiences culminating with a weekend long pilgrimage to the National Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. during the spring of the 8th grade year.
