The Hospitality Ministry provides fellowship opportunities for the congrgation throughout the year. Some of the highlights include the Annual Advent Dinner during the holiday season; providing meals during major churchwide events; and other special occassions as they arise. A sub-commitee of the Hospitality Ministry is the Events Committee. This group’s goal is to be innovative and bring new activities to the Church.
In the spring and fall the Men’s Ministry holds a furniture drive to benefit the Interfaith Housing Development Corporation. At the same time they collect clothing that is donated to the Trenton Rescue Mission. They hope to resume their monthly Saturday breakfast gatherings in the near future. The men of this ministry hope you will join them on a journey of brotherhood and service.
To whom do you turn when you have a pressing concern?
- you take it to God in prayer
- you may confide in a spouse, family member, or best friend
To whom do you turn when you have a concern about God’s Love?
- Mutual Ministry Committee – Nancy McPeak, Earl Monk, Chris Sassaman, Will Toppin, andAndi Webber
This committee has been revitalized to support the relationship of our pastors with the congregation. If you have a concern about God’s Love, know that you can approach any member of this committee, and your concern will be raised and discussed in complete confidentiality. Likewise, if the new Senior Pastor/and or Pastor Laura has a concern regarding the ministry to our congregation, he/she can raise that issue to this same committee. In addition, the Mutual Ministry would like to provide this same support for other members of the church staff and leadership. As we move into this exciting time as a congregation, we have a responsibility to grow together with the pastors as Partners in Christ. Let’s do so in a mutually supportive environment …. let Mutual Ministry help you do just that!
New Beginnings is a program for parents who have children 3 years of age The purpose of New Beginnings is to foster relationships amongst the group, partake in fun activities, and to share life experiences. This is a great way for kids, who are not yet in school, to make friends and socialize on a monthly basis. We meet at the Church, local parks, farms, playgrounds, etc. New Beginnings got off to a great start in 2010, with many families from Church attending our planned events.

Welcome to Women’s Ministry! Our ministry sponsors three activities. During November and December, fair trade coffee, tea, nuts and chocolate are available for purchase after all weekend services. The proceeds of the sale of these products are donated to the Small Farmer’s Fund of Lutheran World Relief. In 2009, we donated a total of $500 to this fund.
The Out to Lunch Bunch gather one Wednesday a month for lunch at a local restaurant. Not only do these women keep up on the latest dining spots in our area, but they also build supportive relationships that sustain their spirits.
Women’s Dine Out is similar to the Out to Lunch Bunch. Every 4 to 6 weeks, this group gathers for dinner at a different local restaurant for fellowship and food. They vary the night of the week and cuisine to encourage wider participation.
All women are invited and welcome to participate in our activities. We hope to meet you soon.
